Privacy policy

This is a working draft, not a reviewed legal document. It describes what the site actually does today, so that review starts from something true rather than boilerplate — get it checked by counsel before launch, per Paddle's own requirement for a Merchant of Record account.

What we collect

Cell Site Map (operated by Asaru Labs Ltd.) is a static site. As it stands today:

• Theme preference — stored in your browser's localStorage, never sent to us.
• Location, if you use "Use my location" — read by your browser and compared against a list of places entirely on your device. We never receive your coordinates.
• Standard server/CDN logs — IP address, user agent and requested URL, kept by our hosting provider for operational and security purposes.

We do not currently operate user accounts, and we do not sell personal data.

Planned, not yet live

The following are described in this project's own build plan and will get their own update to this policy before they ship:

• Email alerts ("notify me when a new site appears near this address") — will require an email address, handled by a transactional email provider.
• Paid subscriptions — billed by Paddle.com Market Ltd as our Merchant of Record, who will hold payment details, never us directly.
• Affiliate links (signal boosters, fixed-wireless providers) — clicking one may set a tracking parameter or cookie on the retailer's site, not ours.
• Display advertising, once traffic supports it — will use a standard ad network with its own consent flow.

Cell tower data

The tower locations shown on this site are not personal data about you — they describe network infrastructure, sourced from national regulators and OpenCelliD (a community project). See /data-sources for licensing per country.

Your choices

• Decline the geolocation prompt — the address search box works without it.
• Clear your browser's local storage to remove your theme preference.
• Use browser extensions or settings to block third-party cookies from affiliate/ad partners once those are live.
